E3 2012: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 follows up the teaser released a few weeks ago with a full gameplay presentation during this year’s E3. Brought up and played during Microsoft’s press conference, the new Call of Duty title from Treyarch seeks to deliver a story on par with the biggest of summer movie blockbusters.

Judging from the gameplay footage, the US’s military has been compromised and the stockpile of US drones are used to attack Los Angeles during the highlight of the G20 Summit in an attempt to kill the world’s capitalist leaders. You play the role of Mason (no word if it’s the same Mason, but never put it past Treyarch) and from the gameplay it’ll start out right in the middle of the attack. There were new futuristic weapons (railguns), F-38 fighter jets, and new personal drones seen in the gameplay; there is sure to be a plethora more in the full game itself. Stay tuned for more details.
