For two weekends (Aug 19-21, Aug 26-28) players will be able to test out the multiplayer capabilities for Titanfall 2. Included in the first weekend are two game modes and two maps, during the second weekend a new mode and a new map will be added.
During the multiplayer technical test, fans will be playing two all-new Titans called Ion and Scorch. Ion is about diverting power, laser focus, and energy management. Ion has the ability to divert power between three weapons systems; energy management is the key to this Titan. Scorch defends and controls tactical locations. Within every possible scenario, Scorch has an obvious and blunt way to control it. Fire is Scorch’s primary source of defense and offense.
The test will only be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC will be excluded from the test as the developers are still making a lot of changes/tweaks to the game. With the sheer amount of PC setups, it was the decision to exclude PC for the test while the game is still in development.
