With a little more than a month away from the highly anticipated release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red has announced the the game has officially gone gold. For those unaware, going "gold" means the game is ready for the discs to be pressed (manufactured) and shipped to stores. With the advent of Day 1 patches, developers are much more lenient on when a game is ready to be launched, especially after some big name releases this year have had quite large Day 1 patches. While I'm not claiming that will happen with The Witcher 3, but it appears that CD Projekt Red believes the game has received the additionally polish that pushed back the initial February 2015 release date.
