Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim heroes, maps, and mode details

EA and Dice have unveiled the first details for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront Outer Rim digital expansion. Not only will the expansion introduce the factories of Sullust, but it will also take players to one of the most iconic locations on Tatooine, Jabba the Hutt's palace.

Players have been wide-eyed in guessing what the next set of heroes would be, but no one expected Greedo and Nien Nunb to make the cut. Considering the new playable map locations, these characters make perfect sense. Greedo was a bounty hunter for Jabba and frequently took jobs out of Mos Eisley, and Sullust is Nien Nunb's homeworld. It makes perfect sense to have him leading the charge in freeing his people from the Empire.

The Outer Rim expansion will also come with an additional game mode, Extraction, as rebel players attempt to ship vital resources off-planet via transport before the timer runs out.

As for new weaponry and star cards, there are only a few that will be added. The Relby V-10 rifle, made famous by bounty hunter Bossk, and the DT-12 blaster pistol are the only new primary weapons, but three new star cards can be equipped, the Scatter Gun, the Dioxis Grenade, and an Adrenaline Stim.

The Outer Rim Expansion is due to be released in March.
