SelectButton's Reviews Now Included on OpenCritic

I have worked tirelessly Over the course of the past five years, I have worked tirelessly as Editor-in-Chief to shape SelectButton into a website that covers AAA games and indie games equally. The response we have garnered from our readers and peers in the industry humbles me. We have grown so much over these five years, and I am honored to work with a supporting and passionate staff.

It is my pleasure to announce that SelectButton’s reviews are now included on the review aggregator OpenCritic. If you are unaware, OpenCritic simply takes the average of all the numeric reviews for a particular game without the complication of different weights for different outlets. It’s an honor to have our reviews listed alongside our peers in the industry. We are coming up on our 500th review later this year, and it will mark a huge milestone for our staff. As long as the game currently exists on OpenCritic, you’ll be able to find our review listed on the game's page. Moving forward, if we cover a game that doesn’t currently exist on OpenCritic, we will be able to build a page unique to that title.

With that said, it won’t have any bearing on what titles or how we approach our reviews. In fact, I stand by our review policy and the integrity of all of my editors. Every one of us at SelectButton would like to extend our thanks to the folks at OpenCritic for including us as a trusted outlet in the industry. We also would like to thank all of our readers across the globe. It means everything to us, and we are humbled by the support we have received.
