E3 2012: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony soldiers on with their answer to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. series, showing off full gameplay footage during their press conference. In a surprise announcement as well, Sony plans to include cross platform capability between the PS3 and Vita. Watching the gameplay, I felt heavily reminded of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in regards to many of the things happening. There are special moves that can be built up to that are essentially one-hit kills for players, as well as environmental dangers including the Hydra from God of War.

They also did a surprise announcement, adding to the character roster. While Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, PaRappa the Rappa, and Sly Cooper were part of the original group, Nathan Drake and the Big Daddy from BioShock will be joining them.
