Doom open beta date and first DLC pack detailed

Bethesda has announced Doom's open beta will run from April 15-17, and won't require players to input a code to access. On April 15 players can simply download the game client from their platform of choice (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC). The open beta client will feature two game modes, Team Deathmatch and Warpath. The Heatwave and Infernal maps will be playable for each of the modes.

Launching on May on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Doom will feature many more multiplayer maps, power-ups and game modes. Players will receive free content updates across SnapMap and multiplayer throughout the year.

SnapMap is the creation tool that allows players to create and share custom-made modes and maps. id plans to update SnapMap with new map modules, props and objects, additional features and functionality, AI enhancements, editing tool enhancements and more.

Outside of the planned free support and content updates, Doom will receive three premium multiplayer DLC packs. Each pack will add additional maps, hack modules, playable demons, new weapons and more. The first DLC pack is currently scheduled to release this summer. Each DLC pack will cost $14.99, but you can get all three for $39.99 if you purchase the Season Pass. The content for the first content pack is outlined below:
