Blizzard revealed its new StarCraft shooter at BlizzCon with the Dominion announcement cinematic.
Blizzard is bringing StarCraft back with a new shooter scheduled for 2030. Announced during the September 12 BlizzCon opening ceremony, the project is titled STARCRAFT.
The Dominion announcement cinematic offers a first look at the project, but doesn’t show gameplay. How Blizzard will translate the strategy series into a shooter remains to be seen.
The studio previously explored that direction with the canceled StarCraft: Ghost. This project marks another attempt to bring the series into the genre, although its 2030 release window puts it several years away.
