2K and Gearbox have confirmed the release date for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on October 14th in North America and a few days later on October 17th around the globe. Along with this announcement, 2K has revealed that the game will be supported after release with four add-on content packs. Each of the packs will retail for $9.99 and feature new characters, missions and experiences.
There will be a Season Pass that will group all of the add-on packs together for $29.99, a savings of around $10.00. Purchasing the Season Pass will allow you to gain access to the add-ons as they are released on PSN, Xbox Live and PC.
For those who like to pre-order games ahead of release for exclusive content, the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit bonus content will be made available at participating retailers. The content will be made available for non pre-orders at an unknown later date, although it will have to be purchased.
